He has won prizes and awards for his chamber music and big band compositions.

He is an accomplished improviser, presently working internationally with his free-improvising avantgarde trio ‘F#’.

Hille has performed solo piano improvisations at Helsinki’s Temppeliaukio Church since 2001 on a weekly basis, in over 500 concerts.
